People waste an incredible amount of time handling both e-mail and regular mayo. Almost everyone duplicates their efforts. That is, they go through their mail, at least, twice. This time is totally unproductive and a colossal waste of time when you could be doing something that actually leads to increasing your business.

Many people get an incredible amount of Spam. They waste an unbelievable amount of time eliminating it or even worse, reading it and then eliminating it. How much is your time worth? If you are running your business as a business you will find a way to eliminate Spam. The cost should be a deductible business expense.

On this Blog there is a category, (#4) SPAM ARREST) which eliminates 100% of Spam. The cost is very cheap especially compared to what you should be doing instead of playing with Spam. It is $19.95 for six months of Spam free operation. You get a 30 day FREE trial.

E-MAIL:
*with Spam arrests, all e-mail will be from a live person.
*look at the, "from" line. If you have no interest, immediately delete it.
*if you are not sure look at the, "Subject" line and if you have no interest immediately delete it.
*if you are interested, do not look at in the other male, just open this one.
*if you are going to do something with the information in the letter then go ahead and do it immediately.
*do not just put it into another folder.
*do what has to be done instead of having it pending.
*if it is pending somewhere then you have to read the thing again and waste more of your valuable time.

REGULAR MAIL:
*do not go through the regular pile of mail.
*put the mail in a stack and look at the return address on the first envelope.
*if it is a solicitation or something else that does not interest you then do not open its.
*just toss it in the trash.
*if it is something that might interest you then open it and check it out.
*if it turns out it is of interest to you then do whatever you have to do with it before opening anything else.
*if you have to call someone, return a form or do anything else do it right then.
*if you put it in a pending file you will waste your time rereading the thing.

I know many people that have saved one to three hours a day and a business by using this method. If you think you can not be organized enough to do it this way then ask yourself if you really are in business. If not, then it still matters for you could use the time saved to do something else. Of course, if you want to use the mail as an excuse to avoid doing something else then that is your choice.
