GOALS:
At a recent meeting of our team the moderator asked what people's goals were. Every answer I heard was a monetary goal. It does not matter if you're monetary goal is $800 a week or $1 million a year those numbers are NOT your goal.

Very few people comprehend what a goal is. Except for a very few strange people your goal is not money. Money may be an objective to reach your goal but it is not your goal.

The reason for this is because of the way the human mind works. Most of us do not work well with intangible things and money is an intangible.

Your goal is what you are going to do with the money after you get it. You might want the money to build a house, a sailboat or to buy one of those funny little sports cars that make you think you are a pilot in a vehicle you cannot get out of anyway.

Automobile people sell those automobiles telling people how great they are for pickups. That is an absolute flat out lie. When I was a younger man living in Hollywood you cannot believe how many street corners I stood on and those beautiful young blondes in those sports cars just whizzed right on by. The pickup thing did not work.

Assume your goal is the building of a sailboat or the purchasing of one. I have no idea what component parts of a sailboat cost but the point here is valid regardless of if the prices are valid.

You make a sailboat bank account. When you accumulate $1000 in that account you tell yourself well that's the rudder. Another thousand dollars and you tell yourself that's the mizzen mass. Another thousand and you say that it is the wheel. You keep on going like that and you can build the sailboat in your mind and you will make it easier to accumulate the money and to achieve what your real goal is.

If your goal is a house you do exactly the same thing except you say that is the driveway that is the front door, that is the roof and so forth. It will be easier to achieve your goal this way and you're more likely to get there.

If your goal is college then at it proper monetary point when you have accumulated some funds you say well that is the books for the first semester, that is the first semester, that his room and board for the first semester and you go forth from that point on. You will accumulate the funds for your goal.

You may think this is a silly way to do things. It may be but it works which is why we do it.

You should set three objectives. One short term objective. In our business that should be for one month.

One intermediate objective. That is what you are going to achieve in one year.

One long-term objective. That can be either three or five years. The human mind but not really comprehend anything beyond five years so do not go beyond that point.

Yes you may be new to this so I am going to do something that should never be done. I am going to set the goals for you. Of course you can modify them anyway you want but the ones I'm giving you a minimally practical. That is they are the minimum goals for someone that wants to achieve success.

Our primary purpose here is to sell product or to move product depending on how you want to visualize it in your mind. That is too difficult a way to set a goal. So you decide what your goal is and I will decide what your objective is in order to reach that goal by enrolling people.

Can you enroll 52 people in the next 12 months? Does that seem like an extremely high number to you? It does seem like a big number but it is not. It is only one person a week. Many of you have already set that pace. How do you think you got into the 3 x 3 club? It is by enrolling three people in three weeks which is at the rate of 52 people a year or one person a week. That is your intermediate one year minimal objective.

That is your intermediate objective. Your short term objective is five people a month. That is just a shade over one person a week. When you do this your product sales will virtually take care of themselves.

Based on this information you set your own long range objective.

The immediate objective of one new enrollment per week should be uppermost in your mind at all times. The more you think about it the more you are likely to achieve its. We're due you think you will be when you have 52 people in your downline?

You should write your objectives and your dream which is really your goal down somewhere and review it from time to time. You should not show your goal to other people. To understand why not look up my article, "dreams". As soon as it is posted.

An objective should be set to be just out of your reach or what you think is just out of your reach. Many of you will think one enrollment per week or five a month is too small an objective. No big deal. Just set it higher. Remember an objective must be achievable. Do not arbitrarily decide you are going to try for a hundred a month. Try for a number that you feel you can actually reach.

If you feel you can enroll 10 members a month then set your objective for 11 or 12 per month which is just a shade out of what you think you can reach. If you achieve that the first month then set your goal a shade higher the next month. Do this incrementally. Do not make giant leaps and bounds in your objective setting.

Remember that at all times this one legged blind eye is going to be looking over your shoulder. No, I am not looking for you to do something wrong. I am looking for you to do it right and succeed. If you make a mistake, forget it. Go on and do it right the next time. I will always be supporting your actions and whatever your goal is.
